About John Coppin

Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, John became interested in magic as a child when he saw someone make a coin vanish into thin air. Immediately, he began to read up on magic and use his newfound knowledge to entertain his family and friends.

John became a professional magician at the age of 15, appearing at the H.C. Prange department store as The Magic Magician of Christmas. After this engagement, John began performing at his high school and at small, local shows.

In 1980, John graduated with a degree in Marketing and Sales from the Northeast Wisconsin Technical Institute. He continued to refine his magic and performance skills over the next two decades, and performing as The Master Magician and Mr. Hocus the Clown is now his full-time job.

John has been privileged to perform at many popular events in Green Bay and Madison, Wisconsin and Now Arizona including:

John is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians,International Society of Magic. In addition, he recently became a member of the Academy of Magical Arts – also known as the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. Currently, he is the past president of the Ben Bergor Magic Club in Madison, He now is the secretary for IBM ring 172 in Tucson AZ. He also tought a popular magic class in the Madison Schools Community Recreation after school program. Now he works with the Tucson CEP program and the Marana Park and Recreation Department.
